Drapery or Curtain?

Here’s a quick note to explain the terms Drapery and Curtain. A drapery refers to the entire ensemble installed to dress a window, including the fabric panels, top treatment and hardware.
You’ll also hear folks refer to drapes when they’re talking about more substantial or formal dressings. When the term curtains is used, usually this refers to fabric panels made of light-weight cloth, without lining, hung by a simple rod.
